Hey everyone, hope you're all doing well. Today I wanted to tell you about some changes I've made to the NODE site.

- Youtube link

Firstly, I've designed a new logo. It's supposed to symbolize the node, and how networks exists through the interaction of connected individuals. That's what I mean when I say that we're all nodes in the network.

The site design has changed a little bit too, but there's not really much to say about that. What's more exciting is how there's now a full dat backup of the NODE site.

This means the entire site is available on the dat P2P network. That includes all the info, videos, images and project source files, meaning you can download this and view the entire site offline if you wish. It also keeps you updated as new posts are made.

You can see the link to this at the top right of each page. Just click it, and if you have dat installed it will automatically start downloading. You can also view it in Beaker Browser, and I believe there are ways to view Dat links natively in Brave Browser too.

The new backend also means that both the project source files and the videos are embedded directly into the https site too, so from now on you can get all the NODE updates without having to ever touch youtube or github. If a project has source files, you can find the link to them under it's video.

I'm still in the process of redoing the shop, and can't wait to show you. In the meantime, if you wanted to pick up a tee, hoodie or stickers, now would be a good time, since they're made by a third party, redbubble, and won't be available anymore once the new shop is up.

Anyways, I thought I'd keep you updated. There's something really liberating about being able to backup an entire site that easily. I'd love to start some kind of old school online portal made up of interesting dat sites, allowing us to get news, podcasts, videos, knowledge etc on this separate space, away from the regular web. It makes me think of the old days of the internet. It's also the kind of use case I had in mind for the NODE mini server. What do you think?

Thanks for watching
